Singer George Michael has reassured fans that he is recovering well from recent illness and plans to reschedule tour dates for later this year.
It comes after the gay performer was hospitalised for battling pneumonia, last Autumn.
As reported on PinkPaper.com, Michael was forced to
pull several shows in Europe last November when the illness took hold.
He later
canceled UK dates including London's Royal Albert Hall and Cardiff, Wales, disappointing thousands of fans.
Following weeks of intensive specialist treatment, he was released at the end of last year saying: "I've been so lucky ...I've
still got plenty to live for. I'm a new man."
But now the star has informed his 350,000 followers on Twitter that he plans to reschedule his postponed dates for September.
He said: ‘Realistically, I can’t see my vocal cords being ready till the summer.
‘But then I have to think about people losing out if they are on their summer hols. So, September seems most likely.’
The post sparked a slew of questions from loyal fans eager to know the status of their cancelled tickets.
He said: ‘Sorry about that everyone. Rest assured I will use the time wisely. As in... working on improving the show, mixing the live tracks, finishing brand new tracks!’
He also eluded to trying his hand at writing new material.
He said: ‘Pneumonia may have been a b****** thing to go thru, but normally when I suffer you guys benefit somehow, don’t you think :)
‘Spent half the day trying to come up with something that rhymed with pneumonia. Best I can do is bone ya........so true, so true.... :).’
