NUS Scotland and other LGBT activists will be campaigning for equal marriage outside the office of MSP John Mason, tonight.
The move comes amid the opening ceremony of his constituency office.
Activists will being handing out information at 1335 Gallowgate in Glasgow at 6:30pm tonight to highlight his parliamentary motion to prevent gay marriage from being accessible to all.
Nathan Sparling, NUS Scotland LGBT Officer, said: "John Mason has submitted a motion questioning the legitimacy of equal marriage and suggesting that loving partners could be forced into gay marriage.
"He also suggested that churches would be forced by law to carry out gay marriages, which is only an attempt at scaremongering.
"We will be letting the MSP's constituents know that equal marriage is all about giving people the choice to marry, a choice they so rightly deserve."
