Gay man attacked in London's West Dulwich, police confirm

A gay man was attacked in a brutal homophobic attack in London's West Dulwich, police have confirmed.

A gay man was attacked in a brutal homophobic attack in London's West Dulwich, police have confirmed.

The man – who has not been named – had just said goodbye to his boyfriend before he was pushed to the ground and attacked by three males in Birbeck Hill around 10.30pm on Saturday, 21 August.

He was subsequently taken to hospital with injuries to his face.

The suspects were described caucasian, aged between 18-20, with London accents. One of them was said to be wearing a striped t-shirt.

Yes it may even get worse if this Government or Boris makes big cut backs to the police. I thought we were now in the 21st century not the DARK AGES. More should be done in all Schools to teach children to respect everyone not just Gays but OAP's also parents should be doing more to bring up their children to do right in the world. We need more education both at schools and at home on both Homophobic and Sex.

There is homophobia in London but the trend is definately towards less. Clearly more needs to be done to target homophobia. I'd love to be part of an ongoing sting operation to expose the fuckers - and the police know who they are. Contact me please.

london is so homophobic. if you show affection to your boyfriend in public here , you will get abused either verbally or physically. only really sheltered gays , who are too thick to know whats happening think this is a tolerant city. i work with gay youth and 99% of time they have been attacked for being gay.
