DIVA Magazine's online L Word auction raises £731 for charity

An online auction held by gay women’s glossy DIVA has raised over £700 for charity, this week.

DIVA BEALS AUG An online auction held by gay women’s glossy DIVA has raised over £700 for charity, this week.

The magazine sold a limited edition copy of the L Word Book, signed by the TV series’ star Jennifer Beals, via internet bidding site eBay.

The book was put together by Beals, who played Bette Porter on the hit show.

It contains over 400 never-beforeseen photos, plus a cast commentary and many other essential tidbits for L Word fans, such as cuttings of scripts, callsheets and production memos.

The £731.99 raised will be donated to the I Live Here human rights charity, which was founded by fellow L Word alumnus Mia Kirshner, who played Jenny Schecter.

The charity works in poverty-stricken communities help to bolster local education and offer social support.
