Gaga Vogue It seems US superstar Lady Gaga is continuing to push gender and sexual boundaries - this time, by dressing as a man for the cover of Vogue Homme Japan.

A model strongly resembling the 24-year-old appears in the new issue of the fashion magazine. Reports suggest it is Gaga dressing as her alter ego - an Italian mechanic called Jo Calderone.

In an accompanying interview the model claims he is just a friend of the Poker Face singer. MTV.co.uk reports that Calderone tells the magazine: “I met her [Gaga] at a shoot (photographer) Nick Knight was doing. She’s f**kin beautiful, and funny, and interesting. I was a little nervous for Nick to start shooting. She said, 'Don’t be baby, you were “born this way.' I took her out after. The rest is private.”

Representatives for Gaga have shed no light on the model's true identity thus far.

Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, is highly vocal about her commitment to gay rights. She has admitted to sexual relationships with both women and men in the past, while also being plagued by rumours that she is a hermaphrodite, since exploding onto the global music scene in late 2008.
