Organisers behind Londons's Kings Cross Steelers rugby club are welcoming new players, this season, as they prepare for their 15th anniversary year.
The Londo- based amateur group, believed to be the world’s first gay rugby club, is open to both newcomers and experienced players, as it kicks of pre-season training on the 8 July.
Kings Cross Steelers Rugby club chairman, Tim Sullivan commented: “The Steelers have become a valid choice for London’s local rugby players who want high-quality rugby, combined with a great social life. We are nationally recognised as a well run and organised rugby club and are fully supported by Essex RFU.”
“I want to give a warm welcome to all new players and supporters who want to join us to play competitive rugby, either as a beginner or as a more experienced player, to take part in league and cup matches.”
The Steelers currently have more than 80 players with two active teams, one playing in Essex League 2 and another in a Merit Table.
