Judicial rulings have thrown Argentina into same-sex marriage chaos, this month.
Three gay couples and one lesbian couple have been allowed to marry in recent months following judicial rulings that applied specifically to each couple.
But other judges then came along and, upon the request of hostile parties, annulled three of the four same-sex marriages.
Then, on April 19, one of the three annulled marriages was un-annulled by a judge.
The annulled marriages include the groundbreaking Dec. 28 marriage of Buenos Aires gay activists Alex Freyre and José María Di Bello that took place in the far southern province of Tierra del Fuego.
Meanwhile, two committees of Argentina's Congress recently expressed support for a full congressional debate on amending the Civil Code to legalize same-sex marriage once and for all.
Media reports said a plurality of the political parties represented in Congress support letting gay couples marry.
It also is possible the Supreme Court will untangle the morass and legalize same-sex marriage nationwide.
