Gordon Brown's wife, Sarah, has marched at the front of Pride and come face-to-face with one of her critics, activist Peter Tatchell.
Sarah lead the London Pride parade, which headed off from Oxford Street at 1.15pm today, just half an hour ago.
She didn't come to the very front of the march, perhaps because Outrage activist Peter Tatchell was there holding a banner which says: "Gordon and Sarah can marry, gays can't. End the ban on gay marriage."
Tatchell has always opposed the segregation between marriage and civil partnership – even though they carry the same rights and responsibilities.
But despite there being some distance between them, Tatchell stepped back from the front line of the parade to greet Sarah, exchange a few words and give her a thumbs-up.
She told other marchers that it was her first time doing the full march route but that she had attended the festival before.
She was joined in the VIP section of the parade by Michael Cashman MEP, Stella Duffy and Rhona Cameron.
Earlier in the day, Sarah and Gordon Brown had hosted a small garden party for gay activists, celebrities and journalists at Number 10. Tatchell complained that he had not been invited.
