Bespoke eye-wear

Auerbach and Steele, Kings Road, London, SW3.

Never mind puppets telling you where you should've gone. We're all over these bespoke frames like a rash (a rash that is easily cleared with a cream mind you.)

Glasses are in, in, IN. It's no longer a crime to find chunky frames on your face and Auerbach and Steele in London have a selection to suit everyone. In fact, so much so that we can't decide (nb this usually means that we leave the shop with more than one purchase.)

These Blinde ones are a bit Velma Scooby-Doo, a bit Dame Edna, a bit Connie Marble from Pink Flamingo's. We likey. £220 by the way.

There's even a frame made from rare buffalo horn, and one called Boink (tenuous sexual reference check x2) and, our favourite of course, a plethora of sunglasses to be had.

They've also got a very special eye test available which can tell you all kinds of things about your future eyesight. Almost like a Mystic Meg of opthalmology. Almost.
